"Come and view artwork by two talented artists. This watercolor and mixed media exhibit is peaceful and yet compelling . . . "

Press Release - June 6, 2010, for immediate release:

Upcoming Rotation at the Creative Arts Center
On Friday, June 25th at 7PM, the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council will host a new rotation opening at the Creative Arts Center.  Karen Jimenez and Tis Huberth are the honored artists whose show highlights their individual styling of watercolor.  Each has a unique expression in watercolor (and mixed media) that is a great complement to each others' work.  Both have enjoyed awards at the Maple Valley Days Arts Festival juried art show.  Join us for this special summer Opening Night Reception.  The usual wine tasting, hosted by Dave Hall of MV Shell, refreshments, music and art will be on hand for your enjoyment - bring a friend!

Artist Biographies:

Maple Valley artist, Karen Jimenez celebrates life's key moments by capturing familiar family milestones through several watercolor techniques. Her subjects reconnects with her nostalgic past by creating moments that viewers can easily identify with. A more recent and challenging theme of Karen's is a provocative feminine series that depicts various roles of women. Karen's artwork has been exhibited in Washington D.C. and Seattle and has also been published in 'Print', a design work magazine.
