As part of Maple Valley Days, the Lodge is filled with art! Upstairs is the juried Art Fest, musical and theatrical performances. Downstairs are the
Children's And Youth Art Shows as well as free crafts for kids. This year we will be introducing the
Independent Young Artists Show which will feature the personal artwork of school age artists (K - 12). Unlike the Children's and Youth Shows, the artwork is not limited to class assignments nor is it curated by school art docents. The art can be any media, as long as the subject matter is family friendly and the size does not exceed 24" x 36".
There is a limit of 1 piece of art per artist at this time.
Registration is required to ensure there is space enough for all and that the artwork is returned properly.
Young Artists may participate in both the Independent Young Artist and Children's and Youth Art Shows, but prizes are limited to one per artist. The registration fee is $5 per artist and directly funds the awards available to the Independent Young Artists Show winners.
Registration should be completed by June 1st, 2017.
Drop Off Artwork: June 7th from 8am until 8pm at the Lodge
Pick Up Artwork: June 11th, from 5pm to 7pm at the Lodge (unless otherwise arranged)
The guest jurors will arrive to tour the art and pick winners June 8th.
Prizes will be awarded at pick up on June 11th.
